Computer Issues

Tried playing a game of Counter Strike: Source earlier today, and the game froze. Windows was still working in the background, but when I couldn't get enough free processor time to end the game, I gave up and restarted.

When cleaning up files on my old HDD, I apparently deleted some files Windows was still using to boot up, so it wouldn't boot (Said "ntldr mising, press ctrl+alt+del to restart"). So, I was forced to reinstall windows (repairing the boot information didn't work in the recovery console).

After booting back into Windows, which was an unusual process, it appeared as though SP2 was uninstalled, though some elements of it are still there (Security Center in the Control Panel). But they don't work (Security Center window has no settings or anything in it). MS Word/Office doesn't work, even after selecting Repair and Reinstall options, Media Player doesn't work, my media licenses don't work, so I can't play WMA files I've legally downloaded and have the rights to play.
