I hate cars

So, couple weeks ago, I was going to take my car to go bowling with my friends.... but the brake pedal sank to the floor. Great. So I turn right around and park it, and find another ride to the lanes.

Upon futher inspection, it appeared as though the brake lines were leaking. A couple days later, I get the car down to my schools automotive department, about 25mins down the road. They fix students cars as a part of thier curricilum, so students don't have to pay labor, only parts.

This was an especially good deal for me, because replacing brake lines isn't cheap it turns out, because it's a lot of labor, though the parts are cheap. So I'd be making out like a bandit.

So, after a few days of not hearing from them for a price estimate, I called them. They then told me all the brake lines needed to be replaced, and would cost about $40. They also said that the rear shocks should be done, and that would be $20 (each?). I OK'ed the repairs, and they said they might send it to thier "Freshman shop" to get done, and they'd call me back.

Well, today, after they had once again failed to call me back, I called them up. They told me that they didn't have enough time to fix my car and want me to take it back.

So, so much for that. Now, I have to figure out what to do with my car, how I'm going to afford it, because I'm really poor, all the while still getting lots of school work done, all before the week is out.

FUN!
