Well, ok, I guess i shouldn't be putting all the blame on the people that work at the help desk, but I need to rant about someone.

Now, maybe I just expecting too much from my laptop, or maybe installing vista was a bad idea, but I'm pretty sure benchmark tests claim the drive to be running at 3mb/s. Now, as far as I know, that is much slower than most drives.

So, I give it to them and say the drive isn't working, and a day later, today, they call me, and tell me they ran all their tests, and came back normal.

I guess, speed tests, aren't a part of normal testing procedures. Actual performance apparently isn't a concern by hardware vendors.

Anyway... i'm either crazy and the drive is indeed fine, or i gotta shit hdd and nothing i can do about it.
