Router Connect
My first Android app is now published on the market! It allows you to connect to your router powered by OpenWRT or DD-Wrt and quickly view the ARP Table, DHCP leases, and connected wireless clients. Great for monitoring unauthorized activity.
I started developing this slowly awhile ago, learning both Java and Android at the same time. Naturally development was slow, and sometimes I went several weeks or months without looking at the code.
But now I finally have a working app, and I know it has limited usefulness, it gives me something to build on, and got me experience with Java and Android, and publishing to the market, so I can make other apps.
I still hope to keep this one updated though, add features like notifications when someone connects to the network, and changing simple settings on the router.
Please leave feedback, comments, and bugs in the comments, and I'll address them ASAP.

Ssp is what I referred to what may be the issue. The setting in dd-wrt firmware must be changed to allow android access to firmware.Router is not set for any security wap-wep-wep2 etc so I know its not a security issue.I also disconnected router from surfboard cable modem thinking maybe there was a dynamic changing IP issue from I S P as router is an open front end gateway to the ISP modem and their assigned IP addresses whether static or dynamic. My android phone has no problem with internet access through router or modem.Only using router connect is where the issue is.

Yes, you will have to enable SSH on the router, which is disabled by default. If you enter the routers IP address into the web browser in the phone, you should be able to access the web interface so you can at least turn on SSH.

Will give it a try.Really just wanted router connect to see if anyone accesses my open AP or clogs my router bandwidth.Yes I know having security set on router MAY stop that, but with brute force software out there for everyone, there is no total security, only a deterrent to make them spend a lot of time hacking my router that doesn't have a PC connected to it,hence the open security. They could probably hack myy phone with malware faster than hacking a secured router.Anonymous-are you listening?

Need help.Have a wrt54gl with dd-wrt v24 and router is working fine.I left router with no security settings as an open access point.I cannot connect with router connect to the dhcp tables or anything. The router is set for null IP and standard root and admin passwords.I was told that the dd-wrt setting for asp is blocking android from access. It is something to do with encryption between phone android and Linux open dd-wrt comparability.I get request refused when using router connect.I tried several different IP address and password spellings and still no access.I don't have a PC,so can't get into router that way.If I had a PC,there would be access to the firmware, but it defeats the purpose of wanting to use router connect for limited access.Any help out there?
